About FreshCatch

FreshCatch is a community supported fishery program that partners with a small collective of local fishing vessels from Monterey to Fort Bragg to help share their catch and its' story! We work with Monterey Bay Seafood Watch to ensure every catch is verifiably sustainable and every order comes with catch information including, who, when, where, and how your seafood was procured along with delicious and easy to follow recipes! Our catch always arrives to our customers no more than 48 hrs out of the ocean - we guarantee you will not find better or fresher seafood unless you go out and catch it yourself!

About Slow Food East Bay

Slow Food East Bay is the local chapter of the international Slow Food movement, dedicated to championing Good, Clean and Fair Food for All.We educate consumers about good quality, sustainable food through workshops, lectures and meals, partnering with like-minded organizations to expand our reach to a diverse population.  Our campaigns include Slow Fish, Slow Meat, Slow Food in Schools and the Ark of Taste, dedicated to preserving biodiversity in our food systems. The roots of Slow Food are a fight for real food. For the right to know our food, to know our food producers, and to protect our cultural food traditions. A fight to have our food system be transparent and truthful.  It is also about enjoyment, about doing the hard work and then celebrating the successes. Pleasure and responsibility are not opposites and we believe that some of the deepest pleasure comes from fulfilling the greatest responsibility.
